Om is the primal sound of the universe in Hindu and Buddhist tradition, the most popular engraving for meditation bowls. Mantras such as Om Mani Padme Me are prayers in written form, so each strike of the bowl is said to carry the prayer outward. The Flower of Life is a geometric pattern of overlapping circles that stands for creation and connection. Buddha eyes, seen on stupas across Nepal, represent wisdom and watchfulness.
